  3. They were released at NAMM. Dealers are now carrying them. Musiciansfriend.com sells them at $1469.

    It looks very nice!

These are very nice. I have one at my store and it's been tempting me since it came in.

  5. Could you give us some details on it? It looks like such a cool piece. How would you describe it's tone? How about the B?

    Thanks!

They had one of the Victor Bailey Vs at a local store in my area and I was very impressed. Not only is it beautiful, it has a nice tight and responsive b string and it sounds like J should in my opinion. For $1,500, a person could do a whole lot worse!

Dr. Cheese's answer is right on. I found the VB to be deeper sounding than an alder or ash Am Deluxe equivalent. Very full and tight sounding and sweet in the upper register's. It's exactly what I thought a mahogany body Jazz would sound like. I also have a 4 string version at the store and they sound identical.

  8. Thanks guys!

This bass sounds like exactly what I'm going after then.

Nice as it is, I wish Fender would use flamed Koa for these basses. Then it'd be super pimped out.

I own it! It's dream. Best bass what I have played. Only bad things you could get is some humming problems, but it can be resolved easily.
It got perfect tone and look.
I added you some pictures of my VB5

I've got my eye on one.

  20. I think it's one of the most beautiful Fenders ever made. Gorgeous bass.
