Victor Wooten has been recomended to me as an amazing bass player to check out. I'm really into Funk and odd time stuff. Can anyone suggest some really awesome Victor Wooten Funk albums to me?

    Thanks,

A Show Of Hands for solo stuff, and What Did He Say for band effort.
YingYang is too fuzak for my taste, and Live In America somehow did not connect with me.

Show of hands for solo stuff as JMX said.

the other three albums are with groups.

I personally really like "live in america" I think it's his best album.

That said What did he say? has some great tracks as does "yin yang"

but overall I think Show of hands and live in america are his two best.

  4. get some Flecktones - I like Flight of the Cosmic Hippo and Left of Cool, along with the 1st one. Also, check out Vital Tech Tones - a project he did w/Steve Smith and Scott Henderson - smokin' stuff!

I think the best start with the Flecktones is the Live Arts live album - smokin'
