A guitar I really want recently came up for sale and in an effort to buy it I am letting go of a number of my best. I may consider trades but for much more trade value for Gibson CS/Historic guitars, PRS USA guitars, Fender CS guitars or other vintage guitars.

1974 Gibson SG Standard Bigsby ($2150 shipped/PP - $2400 TRADE) This rare and vintage 74 SG is the Standard model with the Gibson branded Bigsby tail piece. I read online these early-mid seventies SGs with Bigsbys were not made in high numbers. The guitar is in good condition with play wear with various small dings (see pics) but in overall good condition for its age and is a solid player. It has light worming on the back and some light weather checking on the front that looks great. The fretboard is in seriously amazing condition and the frets show almost no wear at all, just a very small amount on the G string areas of the 1st through 3rd frets. You could easily level that wear out and the frets would be like new. The guitar is all original except the nut which was replaced a long time ago with a brass nut and the strap buttons which are currently the old style Dunlop strap buttons that have been on the guitar a long time. It will come with the original hardshell case in good condition with all working latches.

    Specs:

    Mahogany Body
    Mahogany Neck
    Ebony Fretboard
    MOP Block Inlay
    Brass Nut
    Gibson Stamped Bigsby Tailpiece
    Gibson Tarback Humbuckers
    2 Vol, 2 Tone, 3-Way Switch
    Original Gibson Hardshell Case
    7 lbs 10 oz

    2001 Taylor 610 CE Dreadnought Acoustic/Electric ($1600 shipped/PP - $1750 TRADE)
This Taylor is in excellent condition for a 14 year old guitar and shows almost no wear except for very minor fret wear in the 2nd and 3rd frets (hard to photograph so little wear). The guitar sounds and plays great and comes with the original hardshell case and hang tags. The finish on this is Tobacco Sunburst and it is a much darker burst than the current tobacco sunburst on current Taylor models. It has a very nice lightly figured Spruce top with Curly Maple back and sides. The original hardshell case comes with it also in excellent condition.

    Specs:

    Sitka Spruce Top
    Big Leaf Curly/Flame Maple Back
    Big Leaf Curly/Flame Maple Sides
    Hard Rock Flame Maple Neck
Ebony Fretboard with MOP 600 Series Inlays (previous version)
    20 Frets
    Ebony Headstock Overlay
    Tusq Nut/Micarta Saddle
    Fishman Prefix Studio Blender Pickup/EQ
    Venetian Cutaway
    Taylor Gold Tuners
    25.5" Scale Length
Ebony Bridge Pins with Abalone Dots
    Single Ring Abalone Rosette
    Tobacco Sunburst Finish
    Brown Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case
