    are these alright for bass?
i have a 212 cab with these in them and i wanted to know what is the risk of using them for bass?
it sounds great, everything i have been looking for. they don't bottom out or do anything weird. and they don't distort. i am pretty sure that these are guitar speakers, since they are in a guitar cab, but can they be used?

they seem to be older also. at least the sticker is different than celestions have now.

    thanks

also the head is a swr 4004.
and the cab has a switch to change from 4 ohms to 16 ohms. how does this work?
and if i check the ohm with a meter it says the same.

  3. Vintage 30's are guitar speakers. I wouldn't use them. They're lightweight and very low power handling. Chances are you'll eat right through them at any sort of volume.

this speakers don't seem very light weight at all. the magnets are huge! and i haven't had a problem yet. so...if it were to happen when?
