Boy does Christmas time have a man strapped for cash. Due to a cancelled string of gigs, I must also offer this gem of an amp in addition to the phenomenal Gary Willis Signature bass I am selling. This is one of the original Ampeg SVT's and quite frankly, after owning a new SVT classic, I can honestly say that they don't compare to the real thing. The sound of this amp is fat and warm with the ability to dial in some serious grind that would especially suit pick-wielding rock players. I myself fell in love with the DB750 (thanks Dave from all of us), and have watched this amp sit unloved in my gear room. The tubes have recently been replaced, and you can verify the year by the serial number. Other than an occasional scratch on the tone pots, this thing is cherry. The original owner had it serviced in the 80's, and it hasn't needed any major tweaking since then. Price for this historic piece is $1300 shipped and insured from OKC, OK. I'll be eating a $100+ shipping charge on this one, so basically your getting the real deal for around the price of a new one that doesn't compare. Thanks for looking, and please buy my Willis so I can make rent http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/ElMon/VintageSVT/ps/ALBUM/VIEWWEBSITE?foneblog=1133295768518
Dave Boonshoft possesses telekinetic abilities to make me post the SVT as for sale and not the fabulous, incomparable DB750. I can feel him transmitting to me right as we speak........
Let's try and figure that out. The shipping weight should be about 110lbs after packaging, and my shipping zip code is 73120.
