I love my straps, but want to put the money else where...
Asking $85 each or best offer.
Happy to make a deal on the pair.

what " year" are these and can you somehow prove their "vintage-ness"?

These are from the the late 60's - early/mid 70's.

Fender did the thin, classic black strap in the 50's and into the mid 60's (64 if I'm not mistaken). These straps started to come as candy with guitars in the late 60's and into the 70's. Most notable is the larger "buckle" (rectangular piece). In the 80's, the buckle was much thinner. Recent basses are sold with a reproduction strap that features a plastic rectangular piece.

In my mid 20's, if I wasn't buying a bass I was buying an amp, if not an amp a new head, if not head ... cab, pedals, strings, cables etc etc etc. Then, came straps. I've owned my fair share of vintage Fender straps, Ace straps (think the stained glass strap Hendrix used), and the more recent Moody strap.

    Hope that helps :)
