    Hi,

i have a L1000 bass and like it so much that i consider buying a second one as backup. Mine is a 1982 in natural ash. When looking for vintage L1000's (the ones without the wart) it looks like some early models have a slimmer headstock. Is this true or do i have vision problems? If it's true what is a safe way so tell small from big headstock?

    Thanks!

They look pretty similar just different angles, also, don't G&L hand finish all their headstocks so the shapes are all slightly different (or is that just the newer ones)?
