In the 1990's fender reissued these necks, they were rare and are rare as far as vintage goes though. . For more information, visit Fender's web site at www.fender.com. Treena
The green custom Jazz that's in my avatar has a Lasido V-shaped neck modelled after those old Fenders. Quite unusual; nice feel, I like it.
I owned a Pedulla Rapture J2 5 string with a soft V profile. It didn't have a pronounced ridge like the vintage Fenders, but you could tell it was V shaped. Very comfortable neck.
I just bought a no-name fender jazz copy that sounds great~ it's got a very pronounced V shaped profile that gets flatter towards the upper registers. It's great for grabbing the neck and diggin in for some root-five riffs, but it's a tough neck for agile playing. Guess it'll take some getting used to... Just thought it was interesting cuz i haven't seen any jazz copies with this type of vintage style neck.
