Vintage Style P-bass bridge replacement

Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by DrDrill, Sep 12, 2002.

  1. I have a Sting sig P-bass and I wish to replace the crappy vintage style bridge.
Are there any direct replacements without the need for routing, chisels, hammers and general violence?.
It's thru body at the minute but I really couldn't care less if the replacement is or not.

  2. Try the Gotoh 201. A drop in replacement with some beefier features but not so heavy that it looks different.

  3. Thanx sir, but, it's ye olde three screw bridge that's on this thang and I was hoping not to poke any further holes in it, however while looking at the Gotoh I happened to mosey on over to the Warmoth page where I came across a Schaller 463 which has the required three holes. i'll just need to check the hole pitch out.
So my next question is does anyone have any experience with this bridge?.
