Virtual Bass - Final Design

    well folks,

    finally finished the design/shape of the body and headstock.

    waiting for the neck to be delivered, then its off to the shop!

    its been a long virtual haul. but, i'm sure the front end design time will pay off in fewer surprizes on the bench!

    If the end product will sound as good as the model looks, it's going to be a killer instrument. Great job, Fred!

    yes, the rob allen MB2 has definitely been an influence...kind of a cross between a JAZZ and a rob allen...the body at least:

    the headstock, i thought, was more a cross between a fodera/f bass and a roscoe...

    Oysterman: thanks man...i can't imagine any reason why it won't turn out well. i got a GREAT ash blank from Warmoth...great supplier...even their blocks of wood are works of art.

    rmp5s: no strings = easier to play.

    Your headstock is missing a tuner. :D

    When I saw the first pic, i thoguth it was more like Yamaha meets Ibanez hehe

    like the Yamaha TRB/RBX body and the Ibanez headstock hehe ^_^;
