Hey. I'm new to pedals I just got this pedal and it's really good, but I don't know how to get it distorted. I've set it to what the sheet said would be distorted but it still didn't work :(. Can someone please help?

turn the "drive" all the way up. make sure the signal is nice and hot going in (i.e., fresh batteries if you have an active bass, that sorta thing).
bear in mind... the jekyll and hyde is an "overdrive" and not a "distortion" or "fuzz." those last two are different types of overdrive, to be sure... but you usually have to get that uber heavy distortion from other dedicated boxes.
maybe the jekyll and hyde is too subtle for you...

What sound are you getting? Clean?

Dumb question, but have you stepped on the switches?
