Visual Sound Route 66... any experience on bass??

    Title says it all.

    I've messed w/ the double trouble, it sounds very good, but not as good as advertised. That was on guitar, not bass

    I've been looking for an EHX Bass Metaphors, (actually Greg at Rocket Music has ordered several, they're on backorder if anyone else is interested). It's a compressor / OD, just like this one.

    FWIW the comp side is a basic Dynacomp/Ross clone, with none of the mods or component upgrades that can make a Ross clone worthy on bass. IOW expect some loss of low end.

    I just took one home to play with for a few days. I haven't found a loss of low end with either the Compressor or Overdrive sections. The Overdrive has a bass boost switch, and both have tone controls.

    I was going to get a separate OD and a Demeter Comp pedal, but I'm going to play with this a while first. For the little I use OD, this is probably good enough, and the Compressor seems pretty decent.

    For $150, (the Demeter alone would be $200+) it may be just fine for me. It's not like I'm doing big tours or recording - just gigging around our little town.
