i just got a digitech BSW in a trade
while the effects on it are fun to play with
it get a significant volume drop when engaged
    im running it like this
    bass > 105Q > BSW > grunge > messdrive hybrid + > chorus > delay > tuner > amp

I have the opposite problem, a slight volume boost when it is engaged.

ahh i didnt have a manual
so it should go before my wah?

  6. Doesn't the manual of every pedal state that it should go first in the chain?

But where you have it in the chain should be fine...but what are you settings with the BSW? Some people think that there is a volume drop in the filter setting because of a lack of lows.

im using the synth 1 setting with sen at 9 oclock, contro and filter all teh way

  8. Synth 1 (Envelope Filter) setting, with control and filter cranked...yeah you'll hear a loss of lows for sure...which will sound like a loss of volume. Try setting 2 (Sub envelope) and see if you don't hear a difference.
