My volume knob is moving around on my bass side to side. I opened up the back and looked in, and it's not hooked into anything. It's just free moving. How can I secure it?

what kind of knob is it? does it have some sort of lock?

if not, why dont you just put a screw n washer?

  3. if your knob doesn't have a set screw, pull the knob straight off (it may be tight, but PULL)...if it has a set screw, loosen the screw first with an allen key.

then using a socket wrench and a bit of cloth to prevent the wrench from marring the bass, tighten the nut...supporting the pot in the cavity with your fingers...

then put the knob back on.

I'll try doing that when I get home. If not, i'm going to my shop tonight and i'll have my tech check it out.
