I found a 215 Vox cabinet that looks to be from around the 70’s. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this cabinet. Is it for bass or guitar? They say it is 4ohm or 16ohms.

I’m going to play on this cabinet after work and check it out. If the speakers aren’t the greatest for bass, does anyone have any help or suggestions on replacement speakers if I get the dimensions of the cabinet?

I’m looking for a deep, tight lightly distorted sound out of a 2x15 from my Ampeg V4.

  2. I dont think many guitarists used a 2x15, think guitar has always stuck (more-or-less) with 12's

So its probably a bass cab (judging from the impedance too)

I take they are saying its either 4 or 16 because it will have two 8ohm speakers, wire them in parallel for 4 or series for 16

    I agree with that.

Does anyone have one of these? Did you replace the original speakers (and if so how does it sound)?
