Vox DA5 into a bigger amp for effects? Would it work?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by EagleMoon, Mar 2, 2008.

  1. I've got one of the little Vox DA5 5 watt guitar amps with the effects, and was wondering if there was a way to use the effects through a bigger head/amp? I love how it sounds when I plug my bass into it, but I can't turn it up very much at all because of the teeny speaker. Would there be a way to run it into maybe the effects channel of a bigger amp? Just wondering. I have the amp and was considering selling it, (because I sold the guitar I had) but if I can use it, that would be great.

    Yeah, use the headphone output.

  3. That would work even though it's amplified?

Yeah, you will have to be careful of level, because headphone outs are hot in comparison to instrument level stuff... How are you planning on running this?

  5. Not sure, I was just wondering if it was possible.
