So how do you play with all the ironmongery in the way?

Seriously if one wanted to wham a bass the option of where the arm went could be useful.

Each bar controls two strings, so you can whammy the lows but keep the highs normal, or vice-versa.

why would you want to control the strings differently?

also, you go out of tune real bad with those things andi hear you break strings a lot

If your strings are properly stretched, and you aren't bending them up a fifth, then they shouldn't break too often. Going out of tune is the same, but they will go out of tune more than a bass with a fixed bridge.

Very cool invention...I just can't imagine finding a use for me.

  6. Who makes it? What's the price?

There used to be a guy in town...Barry Dunaway, used to play with Malmsteen. He had one of those things and what HE was capable of with it...was amazing. Pretty much eliminates the need for a fretless and so much more.

Its easier if you have 3 or 4 hands...imagine slapping while whamming.....
I guess, the next wicked invention will be a foot controlled whammy bass bridge or flexible neck that allow us to do Billy Sheehan's neck bend easily using only a fingertip:confused:
    It's crazy world we live....
