Wah Volume drop

    My CB From Hell drops the overall volume when it's activated :(
    It's got a boost so it's all good :D but I was wondering if this is normal with some wahs as I never had this problem with my V-Wah.

    Just tested the wah with my guitar :eek: and it doesn't have the volume drop :D

    Then I plugged in my bass and voila, back to the drop off :mad: :( :confused:

    I have one theory but first some background info: I got my guitar used but in fairly good shape. It doesn't generate too much pickup noise or have any grounding problems :D My bass on the other hand was picked up new but really cheap, and I don't think it's grounded properly :mad: as it's really noisy and has a high pitched sqeal in the background :(

    So, my theory: The lack of proper grounding is causing the volume to "bleed" off when the wah's activated.

    Is this right????? If not then what in the name of all that's holy could be causing this??????????

    Please, someone respond :help:
