Then I have a question for you...you find an old lamp on the beach, rub it and a genie appears...

"For releasing me from the lamp, I will grant you one wish"

"One wish? I thought it was supposed to be three."

"You get one wish, you little bastard."

So you think it over for a while...and narrow it down to two things...instant delivery of your brand new Roscoe or having Scarlett Johansson fall madly in love with you.

Remember, you can only have one wish! Which is it?

I'll take Scarlett, thanks - the wait on a Roscoe (unless it's got whacky stuff like piezos) is usually 3-4 months.

That leaves lots of time for getting to know Scarlett before the bass arrives and distracts you...

    :bassist:

  3. What he said....

Athough this might be a little "off-topic" since it could deteriorate into a Scarlett thread (although the Roscoe has nice curves too:D )

Wait a minute...didn't you just get engaged or something like that?

  5. I waited 4+ months for mine. Now I'm a pleased Roscoe owner. Myadvice....wait....it's worth it.

    Let's take inventory:

    • Roscoes = 2
    • Girlfriends = 0
    • Scarlett Johanssons = 0
    • SJ as girlfriend = undefined

My inventory has shown a deficiency in the number of Roscoes I own.

The above statement probably explains why I have no girlfriend. :^(

PS: Gard, are you going to make it out to the GTG at the Low End next week?

Have you ever been with a woman? (easy Mods - it's a joke)

The bass will make you happy, might even make you a better player. It won't argue with you, it won't spend your money and you won't have to wait for it to get ready to go to a gig, but if you pick a bass over Scarlett Johanssen, you are a damn fool.

Which begs the question: Have you ever been with a Roscoe?

JPJ: I have two Roscoes. They are great and I wouldn't trade them for that girl, but I'd sure as hell wait for the basses for a fling at that lovelyness.:D ...of course, if it's OK with my wife.:bag:

    ;)

...me, I got somethin' better than Scarlett, AND I got that wundarbar Century Sig above, so I don't really have a dog in this fight!

    :)

  18. Both Roscoes AND my wife are gifts from the good Lord!! I'll be selfish and take them BOTH!!

Waiting for a Roscoe is like being engaged - can you relate Gard? Something good is going to happen at the end of the waiting period.:)

Gard. I love looking at your bass. It's so obvious that it's asymetrical. I think it's a real asset because it looks more natural than a bookmatched top.
