    after seeing this:

    i want one :hyper:

what a great bass, i like the model and the birdseye neck

can you show me your wal basses please?
  2. I got the chance to have a go on a wal the other day, no idea what model. The bass player from Bristol band Melonfarmer (who also has a great Primus-esque slap technique) let me have a go after a show. It had a tight string spacing, like a Warwick, and very low action. It played very evenly and easily across the neck. The tone was to die for, it really cut through, with a rich mid punch and sparkle in the highs. A nice bass, for sure.

I was very lucky to get to play a used wal a while back at bass emporium. The basses really kick tons of ass and have room to spare. If i had the money i would be willing to wait 3-4 years. After a year i would probably forget about it, so when it showed up it be even cooler. They really are incredible basses.
