walnut fingerboards?

    Why not? any particular reason? I haven't seen many basses with walnut fingerboards and I was just wondering if any one knew why?

    I was under the impression walnut is fairly soft?

    This question jumped in a couple months ago. A few good answers there why walnut shouldnt be used. An acrilized piece would be an option.
