I need the resident walter woods expert to
    help me with this question.

I'm thinking about buying a walter woods amp.
I have heard they only have 1/4 input jacks.

The one I'm looking at has what looks like the standard Microphone input (not 1/4 jack but 3 prong male side).

    Has this one been modified?
Should I be scared away from the amp because of the possible modification?

Anybody have pictures of the differnet Walter Woods Amp configurations?

  2. If it were an "input" XLR, it should be female (i.e. sockets) - the one you saw had male "pins" (like on the back of a microphone). That would indicate that it's a "direct-out". It might be an after-market mod, as I don't think that WW uses XLRs or Speakons on his gear.
