Ok, so here is the deal (oh ya I did sell my washburn... :()
The Ibanez Is a '79 Roadstar II P Bass... All finished maple (compleatly blond). I have compleatly re wired it with new electronics (passive) I have a push/pull pot for tone (down position is a .o5 cap, and up is a .1) oh YA! Low pass baby... I bought Bartolini 8s's, and a baddass 2 for it... so it is pritty damn rockin'... I'll get a pic when she is done.... My question is, is there any easy ways to install a J bass bridge pickup?.. do I have to route, drill, or bore?... Can I just install it on a plate or somthing?.. I may sound like an ass, but I have never intsalled a pickup where it wasn't suposed to be before...

    Thanks

    Alex

A totally popular mod... so popular that it has now become one of the 'Standard' pickup configurations! Score a pickup, get yourself one of these here templates, a router, and go to it!! Be sure to use a 'bridge' pickup from a Jazz set, (can usually be ordered separately), as the two are not identical...

    Have fun!
