Oh oh, I sense an impending flame war.

 

The unwritten presumption in the thread title "Do You Want to See a GOOD LOOKING Female Bass Player?" is that female bass players taken as a whole are not often good looking and when one does discover one who is, that is reason for considerable comment and all captial letters for "GOOD LOOKING."

The parallel sentiment would be that few male bass players are actually all that good looking either, and if one of us female members here happens to encounter one, then we, too, are behooved to title a thread, "You Want to See a GOOD LOOKING Male Bass Player?" Oh, and we could add in that rarest of instances, that "not only is he good looking, he is sweet, too."

In addition, one must ask, shouldn't a good looking bass player (male or female) who is sweet,too, be on the next cover of Bass Player magazine? They should also get many product endorsement deals for strings, basses, amplifiers, speakers, and effects pedals.

Why haven't we seen a thread here about GOOD LOOKING and sweet male bass players? Because maybe most women bass players judge male bass players by their talent and ability as bass players and not by their looks.

I say that without any solid evidence to back me up. Maybe if there were any GOOD LOOKING male bass players worth mentioning, our lady members here would have long since posted such a thread, even without regard to said player's ability as a musician.

 

I wouldn't care if a guy or girl started look at these "sexy guys with their basses" threads. I would post a pic of me,but I think I am ugly although a lot of girls say I am sexy andcute.(my grandma thinks I look like Brad Pitt).
