Bought various components here on TB... Never got around to putting bass all together. (This is part of a great sell-off to fund my kitchen re-do and growing Wishbass addiction. (Have now sold 5!) ) $430 for Loaded 32" Warmoth Warhead neck w/ 1 1/2" nut + walnut body + light duty gig bag. Excellent condition! SGD pickups (ND3-M4 M/M and vintage AVS-J4 Jazz) available for extra $80. Body with bridge and back plate for sale individiually - $245. Here is what you get: {} As told by the previous owner - "The bass is complete except for electronics. This is a Warmoth 32 inch scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Now the info on the body comes from person who sold it to me. He told me he used to work at Breedlove and acquired an amazing piece of super flamey Claro Walnut. He then went to work at Warmoth and had them make him this body. As you can see it is the medium scale J body with routing for MM and J pups." {}
I'm confoosed - There are 2 basses shown - one complete with pups, kobs, strings, etc. and one body and neck only. What's for sale?
Hopefully a bit clearer now. Same bass. Pickups, electronics, pickguard shown for display purposes only. I do have some MM J pickup options available... a la carte. Set A: OLD LISTING SOLD - SGD pickups ND3-M4 M/M and vintage AVS-J4 Jazz neck
I've embarked on a Warmoth medium scale build, and I'll use a MM pickup in the bridge position ... I'm chasing Paul Denman's tone. Denman is the bass player for Sade, and he uses a 1970-something Music Man bass with a single MM pickup. For my build, I'll put a pickup in the neck position to use as a thumb rest. I finger pluck my other basses right above the neck pickups. I think that gives me a great tone. So, I'm really curious how this MM / J bass will sound and feel when it's done being built. Whomever bought it, please keep us updated! Thanks!
