Warmoth Gecko 5 String

    WOW. I like it (estheticaly) at least as much as many basses that cost several times more.

    How's it play/sound?

    Really pretty, and what a great price. Did you get the active electronics for it as well or is it passive?

    It plays great--the neck is even and smooth. It balances well, and the string spacing is easy to adjust with the Kahler bridge. It is on the heavy side for me, but I'm used to Tobias Growler weight. Also, the pots aren't great--the gain isn't even, and it "jumps" at the end of the turn of the volume pots. I don't know if that's because they're dirty, or just cheap. Also, brand new strings!!

    It is passive, which makes it nice and warm!
