I want to know if anyone has tried out the warmoth hollow fender bodies. They look like they would be pretty amazing, but I've never heard one. From the look of things, theoretically, it should sound amazing. I would look into getting a j-bass hollow body, but I'm not sure what to expect besides a crazy warm, fat tone.
    Any body? (hyuk)

  2. Not necessarily true. I build a true hollow Jazz and it is a very midrangey tone (walnut/ash). It probably has something to do with the decreased mass.

Remember, these aren't acoustic instruments and whatever tonal gain or loss will be minimal when the right electronics are used.

Your right these arent truly hollow but chambered bodys so your not going to get the same kind of tone in a semi hollow/acoustic bass. I think the purpose of this chambering or hollowing if for weight reduction.
