What do you think of this warmoth project idea?

Fender Deluxe jazz body (Nat. Alder) routed for a Duncan smb-5

Fender Deluxe neck, maple w/ Pau Ferro board

Seymour Duncan SMB-5 wired active vol/tone with one concentric knob (Don't like the sound of acitve onboard pre)

Black WD music Spector style bridge

    Black Gotoh Tuners

    Feel free to comment :bassist:

Fender Jazz Deluxe bodies are smaller than Standard Jazz bodies ;) .

Actually, they're pretty much the same size, except for the lower horn on the Deluxe being shorter to accommodate the 22-fret neck. At least, that's what it looks like when I hold my Warmoth Jazz 4 and Jazz Deluxe 5 against each other.

    Sounds great,
I too have G.A.S. to build my own Warmoth Jazz bass.

I have the specs. written down and have inquired Warmoth of some options.

That would be a very cool bass! Good luck with the project.

  9. Just a question... No finish? I think a clear satin or clear gloss finish would be nicer, the wood looks a little bare. It looks like it's going to be great, I want a Warmoth!
