Up for sale is a "parts drawer" loaded Warmoth Jazz Body in Surf Green. I picked this up recently from another TBer to see if I could put together a good sounding, inexpensive J with extra parts I had lying around. I succeeded - this thing sounds beefy for a Jazz. It is just not getting played, so perhaps another TBer might dig it. So here's a rundown of the good, bad, and ugly. Good - 1. Beautiful Surf Green 2. Black Gotoh 201-B Bridge 3. Fender MIM Geddy Lee Neck pickup and Fender Noiseless Bridge pickup 4. Vintage Strat dial knobs 5. Neck plate w/screws 6. Convertible to a PJ 7. Just add a neck and strings Bad - 1. A few dings here and there, not deep 2. Loaded body is heavy - 8lbs 4oz on my scale Ugly - 1. A previous owner routed this body for a Precision split coil pickup but in the standard P position that would require a custom pickguard (Hot Rod and Reggie Hamilton wont work), but you could make this a PJ! 2. Because of the P route being where it is, it does show a bit with a Jazz pickguard $175 shipped CONUS
Absolutely! However, I'm really enjoying that new neck on a Lollar-loaded P body, so it may be a couple weeks before I do the swap.
