I haven't commented here because I was away for a long time and just returning. In the meantime, a long time ago I connected with him on FB, and I have watched absolutely silently. I can say that the volume of posts has increased substantially, and he legitimately looks like he is getting stuff done and out the door.

It's a shame. The guy appears to me to be somewhat of a mad genius at his craft. If he had started out with just one other person managing the Business and order side and shielding him from all that while he just focused on the builds, I think this could have been a completely different story. His work truly is unique and beautiful, IMHO. I think these pieces can turn into collector's items some day. Seriously.

That's what the members of the 14 year wait list want to believe...

I feel like he could post an unboxing video on YouTube and see it instantly go viral..

I feel like at this stage, an unboxing video for a successfully shipped and delivered Darrin Huff bass would look like the scene where they open the Ark at the end of the first Indiana Jones movie. It's clearly something man was not meant to look upon.

Please read the thread before posting. This sort of response is considered trolling at this point.

Looks like he got banned. Good work!!
  14. Hi all, Yup the macassar princess has been shipped and is on her way to Canada from where she will take the remainder of the trip to Iceland ! As I think everybody knows this has been a process and it'll be quite a relief once I have the bass in my hands.
    Thanks Chris and Rudy :)
Now it'll be fun to follow the progress on Darrin next bass!

At least 2 weeks ago. And this particular bass has been "almost ready" for years. But hey, the bottom line is that a completed bass has been shipped to someone on the waiting list. It's been a very long time since that has happened, so I'll celebrate the good news. One down!

    Edit: Happy birthday, Kristjan!

Agreed. This is fantastic. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

@Kristjankisi I hope you enjoy the bass when it arrives, and happy birthday!
