Well considering that his name is now, and has been for quite awhile, mud in the custom made yo yo world, guess he had to find another direction to go in with his scrap wood. Maybe he can offer custom chopsticks for the Asian food / restaurant industry...

Great idea, but chopsticks would be quicker...
    Or better yet, custom toothpicks!

A really fancy version of Scrabble would do well. Since it's my idea, Darrin, I'd like a 12% cut for every set you build.

I'm about to make some crazy money!

Facetiousness would have put you in the final round;)

Brilliant post and 12% is a very kind demand for your piece of the action.

Dude, you want 12% cut of every set he sells, not of what he actually gets around to making.

I've used them for years. If you change strings more than once in a blue moon they are indispensable.

I had to get a longer shaft version for my 8 string and picked up one like this below. The shaft comes off to attach to a cordless drill and when I'm working on the bases or guitars it is brilliant! Would i pay over $20 for a "pretty wood" version? No way!

I use a string winder sometimes, but it fits into my BD powered screwdriver

I recall another bass builder offering fancy wood string winders... Lull, Kinal?

And there's this guy, who has collected $1,669 from his Kickstarter for his exotic wood guitar accessories: capo, string winder, etc:
Update 1: Thanks Everyone! · The Perfect Guitarist Gift

Wouldn't be shocked if Darrin does a Kickstarter for whatever new thing he decides to build that isn't a guitar or bass.

DH needs a kickstart. The kind that doesn't involve rasing money. ;)

I'm not the authority on Huff history, but from what I gathered on his facebook he just started doing that guitar model in the last year or two. Its pretty much the same body style, just different colors, hardware and pickups.
