Brilliant. Only part I don't understand is why he doesn't have a new company name for this venture.

Suprised no one commented on the Zeller Guitars FB post showing stacks of bass necks.

And I just looked to find a post about a scroll bass

Or "Round and Round We Go" where the motto is, "When will I deliver? Nobody knows!"

So the body is too heavy for him, and instead of using it to deliver a paid for already, bass, he's going to take the top off it and rework it into a semi hollow body.

Anyone order a semi hollow body bass by chance? This may be your chance to finally get your bass.

But I wouldn't hold my breath.

What a piece of work. I doubt that pic is even of anything new to be honest. Probably one of his many recycled pics.

I'm with you. If this is someone else's paid for bass, why would he change the design?

I assume just an old picture being recycled.

Do we have a date for the necks pic? Would not shock me if it was recycled but it doesn't look familiar.

I guess we are just waiting for the official name of the string winder brand to add it to the title of this thread...

Maybe those aren't really necks, maybe they're stock for making winders...

Maybe he needs to hollow out the body for more scrap wood to make winders from...

They could be selling so well he's ran out of scraps to use. He'll be chopping up a complete bass next.

I'm not sure what's less plausible - that so many people actually want exotic string winders, or that he's actually delivered that much product.

"Hey guys maybe we should lighten up. I was really hoping he was gonna branch out into the fascinating world of multi-laminate wood toothpicks. But - as we all know - exotic string winders don't make themselves!" - Captain Sarcasm

Honestly I can't see Darrin making too many of these either - there's probably a kid or two out there still wondering when his "dream" yo-yo will show up
