Also been said many many times before.
He I really do feel bad for you guys, just grates on me that that guy would do that, unbelievable and good luck and I mean it.
Darren just posted on FB he is wrapping up and shipping out (I think) Kristjankisi’s six stringer...
I'll beleive it when Kristjankisi posts a photo of his bass in his hands. I really hope that these good people get what they paid for.
Well, we needed someone to post this. It been at least a week since the last one...
Just saw this update.
Hmm. Obviously it's nice to see what looks like a completed bass, but I find that comment about identifying 33" as his new 'standard' scale length to be deeply suspicious. To me that implies the imminent construction of completely new basses and the taking of more orders...
Does anybody know if the guy from Finland that this 6 string is going too, did he order this bass in a 33"scale or did he order 34''scale?
Yes I did, but I'm from Iceland. Don't think there is a guy from Finland in the queue
Good luck Kristjan; I hope this is yours!
Okay I screwed this up again, I meant you from Iceland, very sorry for the confusion on my behalf.
Absolutely no worries and Yeah that is my bass getting wrapped up
has anyone heard from him since the 6/23 deadline?
I just saw this update:
Its pretty exciting to see one completed bass and another one so close I really hope Darrin pulls this off! The best way to make amends is to complete everyones bass and move on to the next chapter in his life and hopefully learn from his past mistakes.
How many prepaid basses he hasn’t finished yet?
A few months ago, Darrin promised to build 10 backorders before NAMM, and later said that this number would be half the backorders. So I suppose it's 20, give or take.
Wow, it was as few as that? I had always assumed it was in the 30-40 range, which is more in line with my idea of a paralyzingly intimidating backlog... Good grief, 1.6 Basses a year would have had them all done today.
Pretty sure that one is coming to me, so I will keep you updated.
