So I was browsing eBay for a possible donor RockBass for a project I'd love to do (Bart p'ups and Aggy electronics) and I came across this beauty! Shoot me if it's been posted before, I didn't bother to look out of sheer excitement!

Must be a custom shop job, bearing in mind people complain about the weight of single neck 'vettes I guess that one must be killer. Cool none the less.

I don't get it, why 2 4's. Why would you want a bass w/ 1 fretted neck and one fretless? It also looks like one neck is Wenge and the other ebony.
    I just don't get it.

Thats not the neck thats the fingerboard...

If 1 corvette weights like a whale (pound up or pound down :D) a doble neck must be a back killer.

Yuck. Two different fingerboard types. Plus, i'm not fond of Warwicks.

    Terrible.
It looks like aborted siamese sisters to me.
And yeah, choosing 2 different fretboard woods was a faux pas.

The front pic (close up) does look a little suspicious...

A serial number check with the custom shop might confim that though...

+1 on maybe a fake. Open that front pic in photoshop and zoom in on the "seam" between the two basses, very unnatural looking, but imho, ANY doubleneck looks unnatural ;-).
Check with the Warwick custom shop, they can give you a real answer.

  19. the problem with the first pic is the shadow: it's just so ridiculous and perfectly alligned with the instrument that it looks out of place. This is of course not to mention the fact that it looks like two stock photos fotochopped into one hideous beast.

How is Olympic Synchronized Neck-Diving officiated? Are we talking gig-only or in practices as well?
