Even though this is called a Warr Guitar, it is actually more like a bass but meant to be played with two-handed tapping. It does play very nicely as a regular bass if you adjust your technique a bit.

This is one of the most valuable and beautiful instruments I own. I'd sure love to play it but I honestly do not have the time to learn to play it properly. I can kinda play it but my tapping on it is pretty weak. Bought on eBay 8 years ago and hardly even touched it. I'm going to have to pull this one out again and check it out again but my memory is that it is in near-mint condition. This is a very rare Warr Guitar configuration in that it has 10 strings starting at a low-B and going in fourths to a high Ab. I'm pretty sure it has a 34" scale length. It comes with a gig-bag.

    Here are the specs:
    • Figured Walnut Top (pictures do not do justice)
    • Purple heart body laminate
    • Swamp Ash Body Core
    • Abalone Fret Markers
    • Purple Heart FIngerboard
    • Wenge Paduak Neck
    • Purple Heart Cavity Covers
    • Walnut Headstock Overlays
    • Stereo/Mono switch
    • Tuning 4ths Low B to Ab
    • Consistent low to high tuning (easier transition from bass or guitar)
    • Sperzel Locking Tuners
    • 18 Volt Active Bartolini Pickups
    • Black Dunlop Strap Locks
    • Aluminum Support Rod for playing while sitting (optioinal - fits in back of guitar so play like cello or bass)

List price on this model is over $3000. I accept PayPal or a check (as long as you're not sketchy ;-) )

Oh man, this brings back the Chapman itch I thought I'd gotten rid of :) and this is WAY prettier than any Chapman Stick I've ever seen. GLWTS!

  3. The beauty of this particular configuration is that the straight fourths tuning would make it easy for bassists to pick up since all the chord and scale patterns they may already know will work anywhere on the neck.

Ten strings of fourths. Awesome. Wish I had an extra couple grand laying around!

This is where PayPal's 'Bill Me Later' seems far too tempting.

During my seemingly unending Warr search, I found this forum. I've probably missed the boat on this item, but I would be interested in talking if it is still for sale!
