Warwick 5st Rockbass vs. Carvin B5

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by MonticelloRoad, Nov 12, 2004.

  1. I just bought a Carvin B5 hard case and all for 450 last night... awesome grain in the body (one piece, swampash). Can buy a Warwick RockBass Tobacco Sunburst for $450 today... how would you compare the two, and should I buy the Warwick for $450 new? :bawl:

  2. The Carvin is definitely the better instrument.

  3. Thanks, you're making me feel more confident about the purchase.
The Warwick is a Corvette Classic by the way.

  4. A "Rockbass" is a Warwick in the same way a "Squier Affinity Series" is a Fender. They are okay for what they are but the Carvin is far superior instrument. You made the right choice and you'll soon see that I'm not alone in this opinion.

  5. I've only recently checked out Warwick instruments. I had no idea that Rockbass to Warwick is as Squier is to Fender! Thank god! I've only played Fender J's and Lakland Skyline's. I wanted something different in my arsenal so I thought I'd try a Warwick or Carvin. Thanks for the help.
