I got one last year and it has served me well for relatively conventionally shaped basses.

  3. i have one in my apartment that works great, however whn touring with my former band, we went throught those things like they were going out of style. the screws started falling out and the rubber feel disappeared etc.

in short.... for hom use or light gigging, they're fine. for heavy gigging or touring i would go with something like this:

i bought 3 of them for the band at one time and GC hooked me up for only $50 each.

  4. Cool, cheers guys, its just for home use, ive got an individual stand for gigging (dont intend on using more than 2 basses at a gig )

I saw the torlex case ones, and as cool as they are, they are more expensive :p

  5. for home use i so go for it then!

    enjoy.

Home use, go for it. I use mine daily. I use it for the occasional gig too. Never a problem.

Ha! I have both at home. I have the case style one sitting up on a double braced keyboard stand loaded with my 7 basses.

Sitting in front and below it on the floor (hiding the keyboard stand) is the "open" style that holds my 5 guitars. Its eye popping when people enter my bedroom studio, let me tell you.

  9. I have the triple, non-corner model. It's doing fine, the foam is staying on and protecting the basses, and it even fits my ABG :)

Yup, and you know I thought that the moment I hit send. Will work on that (no digicam of any kind). It is worth showing off.

I am presently modifying an old bass flight case that I long since put out to pasture to replace the "case" style stand. I figure I can fit 10 basses in it if I use similar Warwick spacing. It is based off of the tried and true Ultracase design and will be covered (internally) in some colorful faux fur, maybe leopard print, havent decided yet. I have to replace it, it only holds 7 basses, and you know sooner or later I'll have to buy another and need somewhere to put it :smug:

Above is the Ultracase, not my case at home.

Well, it's definitely the only Warwick I'd own! :)

I have one of the 5s, and I've used it on every gig I've played (several a month) for about the past year or so. I put two basses in it, and there are usually two guitars in it from the gui****s, and I haven't had a bit of problem.

  13. can't go wrong with a bit of faux leopard print :smug:
