I had a warranty issue with a new Warwick Corvette $$ (broken truss rod in first 6 weeks of ownership)

I communicated with Warwick and they sent me a RMA form to fill out and I did.....within one day I received call tags for Fed Ex to pickup the bass.

Within a month, I had a brand new bass shipped to me.

    Now for the amazing part......

My original bass was a Pro Series (Korean) that sold for $1299 with a Rockbag.

I received a German model in a Flight Case! Those sell for $2799.

    Wow. Just wow!

I just fine shed the set up on it and it is absolutely perfect......so thank you Warwick!

It's rare that a company stands behind their products these days. I'm glad to see that Warwick respects their customers enough to make sure they are satisfied with their purchase.Well done.

I'm not kidding folks. I gigged this thing on Saturday and Sunday this weekend and it was just amazing.

I did the first gig with the Warwick strings - which sounded fine but then I changed them out for some flats for the Sunday gig. . .and man, oh man - the tone and playability of this thing is amazing.

After tinkering with the set-up for a few hours on Saturday morning, I had it intonated at all 24 frets. . . .and that is so rare. Normally I can get a full scale bass to intonate 80% and am happy with that (normally you have to sacrifice a few ticks on the strobe at the nut or around the 15th fret. . . but this one is spot on up and down the entire fretboard).

I was even able to get the radius to match exactly and still be completely intonated - which I can tell you is quite a thing. I build guitars and completely understand all the factors involved in building an instrument this particular bass is built to .

And the fact that this came from a factory instead of a Luthier's hand is simply mind boggling for me.

This Warwick is even better than all my Rickenbackers - which is high praise coming from me as I have always considered my Ric's to be the pinnacle of a mass produced bass.

So kudo's to Warwick - for addressing the quality problem on my first bass and a big THANK YOU to Warwick for building a bass that exceeded any expectation that I ever had!!

Now back to keeping it Low in the real world!

Very cool! Having been in the Warwick factory many many times - I can tell you there is simply nothing like it on earth. The combination of cutting edge technology and expert hand-craftsmanship is astounding. The IFT neck machine is accurate to within 1/1000mm. I've been SO pleased with my Custom Shop Streamer LX6...my #1!! Thanks for sharing!!

Well I can say now after 5 gigs on the new Warwick that I've never played a neck so straight. The notes are simply pure when fretted.

I love the double humbucker set up because I can get so many different sounds out of it. I haven't found much use for the series switch setting yet but I'm sure that will come in time.

I really, really like this bass and I still can't believe that my warranty claim was not only painless but that I feel I came out way ahead!

I can only imagine how amazing a Custom Shop Warwick would sound. . . I have lusted after a Jack Bruce model for years but never could part with the $5-6G's it would take to own one!

I'd love to see their plant. . . I'm planning on a European vacation this fall so I may have to swing by there!

The factory is WAY out there in East Germany, near the Czech border - not much surrounding the area, but its a beautiful part of the country with a lot of musical instrument making history dating back hundreds of years!
