    Hi all,

I have a (like mentioned above) a Warwick Corvette 5-String Active pickup bass. It came with 2 single coil MEC Jazz pickups. It sounds really good but I would like a fatter sound out of it. Is there a mod I can do to the electronics or would you suggest I replace the pick-ups? I was told that EMG's will make it sound fatter. I have played with a Cord Artisan 6 with Bartolini pick-ups and that was pretty awesome.

    What would you suggest?

    Thanks!

I have a couple wicks, I hate MEC pre's, don't mind the pickups. I Put a Audere classic in a thumb and its great. On a proline I ripped out the pre, output is low because of the active pups, nothing a outboard pre couldn't fix. Could use a pedal too and not mess with anything in the bass.
