I played a Corvette fretless today and the price was $1,039 or something to that effect. Good price?
Not really, no.
It may be a very nice bass, but this is one of the more common Warwicks, & (usually)cheaper as well. I wouldn't call $1,000+ a good deal, even for brand new.
Can get it used for ~$500.
There's a NEW one at GC for 899.
I got mine at GC for $8??.
BUT, I thought of something to check: mine has passive pickups and some have active. I wonder what the price difference is on the different pickups.
I got my 96 Vette Standard for 650 plus tax, try searching for a used one. Warwicks are pretty consistent in quality so buying used isn't that big of a deal.
I disagree. My experience(over a dozen in 2-3 yrs) w/post '98 Warwicks has been that many are of a genuinely poorer quality than pre '98.
