O.k., so I've searched the forum, and plenty of people have asked "how old is my Warwick with serial number XYZ" and the answer is generally - first letter (A-L) is month, last 2 digits are the year etc.
But! The number on the headstock of my fretless Corvette Std. is T-1000001-02. I guess this means it was made in 2002, but what's the deal with the letter/number? Any thoughts?

    Are you absolutely sure it's a "T"? Here's what I've dug up...

"Warwick serial numbers from 1988-on all follow the same format. A xxxxxxxxx 97. The year of manufacture is always the last two digits on the right. The month of manufacture is represented by the letter on the left. A = January. M = December. There is no "I". Most serial number preceding 1988 also follow this format, although exceptions have been seen."

This is from Dana B Goods, the sole distributor of Warwicks in the US...

The above response from Dana is in the page below...

So, if yours is a "T", you'll probably have to get Dana B Goods to help you date it.
