I'm curious if anyone has any experience w/ the new offering from Warwick, dubbed Cruiser.

Basically, it LOOKS like a nice neck-thru, based upon the classes explorer body style.

Truthfully, I'm not going to spend $3000 on a bass at this point in time, but I really love the look of it... so, naturally I'm curious of its feel & sound.

According to Alembic's site, they no longer make the Exploiter.

Nice but it needs a different shaped headstock IMO.

That's so funny, because I've heard others say that, but I dont mind the warwick headstock.

But, if you were going to go for something NON-warwick, what would you use? a traditional hockey stick style? Maybe the arrow style from a V?

Either would look better than current IMO.

    Gone to a better place
    Right on.

Didn't see that anywhere, but I didn't look everywhere. Here:

    http://www.alembic.com/info/bodyshapes.html

It can be seen at the bottom as one of their standard body shapes. Also listed as an option on the custom quote page.

If I'm not mistaken "Exploiter" refers to the body style not a model. My "Exploiter" is, by its serial #, a Spoiler model.

Agree with almost everyone and their dog about the headstock, but it does otherwise look like a pretty nice Alembic copy.

    3000?
i'll be looking at definitely something but warwick..

  15. Alembic can make whatever you want. The Exploiter shape is not one of their 'production' models, but 90% of the stuff they make is custom anyway. So now there's no excuses!

Good luck finding one for 3 grand tho. :)

If you are lucky you can usually find a Spoiler with the Exploiter body style like Fealach on eBay for under $3000. But a new Alembic exploiter for that price? Not likely.
