    I like Bartolini myself, the adjustable gain is one big reason...and lack thereof is the reason I don't use any of the pre's that are listed :)

    I have an Audere JZ3 in a Warmoth build and it does sound similar to my Warwick. It's a nice preamp for sure but does have a somewhat distinct sound and require a little patience.
