SOLD Warwick Fortress Masterman 5, Like New

    bass.JPG front from end.JPG For Sale is a 1999 German made Warwick Fortress Masterman 5 string. I purchased this bass new and it has never been out of my house other then a cross country move in 2004. Though this bass probably came in a Warwick gig bag, when I moved from WV to MI I put my "special" basses in hard cases, and that is where it sits now.

    *black stain
    *gold hardware
    *"Double J" pickup with stacked Vol/balance, Stacked treble/bass controls for each coil
    *maple body
    *ovangkol neck
    *wenge fingerboard
    *24 frets
    *34" scale
    *typical Warwick 5 string spacing, which I think is 16.5mm at the bridge
    *one small nick on the edge of body near 23rd fret (see image)
    *rough hard shell case (see image and explanation above)

    Thanks for the offer, but the only trades that I can think of right now that I would really jump at would be a Lakland Skyline Scheff 5.

    I Channel Surf During Commercials. (Drives my Wife CRAZY!!!)
    1st one I've actually seen with the Ovangkol neck. Best Bolton Warwick made IMHO!

    I think all the Warwick necks were Ovangkol for the bolt-ons and maple for the neck through for a couple of years there. I remember Warwick stating on their website that Wenge was hard to get at the time.

    I could possibly be open to partial trade if a trade option came up of something that I really want...I there isn't much out there right now that I feel that way about. But then, the worst I can do is say "not interested," so it doesn't hurt to PM me suggestions/offers.

    I have a $$ 5 string as well, they are two different animals. Some very cool sounds in having the individual bass and treble controls for each coil of the MasterMan.

    Aye. I've got a 4 and a 5. Both have a very different sound quality which may have something to do with the mass of he neck on the 5. Otherwise, they're identical in everything but color- same year even.

    I do. But I'd only wanna trade for it. Honestly I love yours, but I see you're looking for cash only. I have a nice trade deal in mind, but ehh.
