Warwick Fortress Question

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Tom Dorau, Feb 15, 2004.

  1. I have a Warwick Fortress On Fretless. It has a flamed maple body, wenge neck and ebony fingerboard. Can anyone tell me how would it sound like if it would have frets?

Good? ;) :D sorry, no Fortress here, just a Corvette... but I know that there are some others who have. like wait for Jive to come by, I know he has a fortress
  3. I have a fretted fortress One, and it sounds great. Maybe a little warmer than most Warwicks. It still has the definite Warwick sound though.

I have played my friends fretted 5 string Fortress and it sounded great!

Well, if it's an active-pickup model, sell it to me and buy a fretted one if you can find one =0)

Unfortunately, I think the F1 was only passive pups.

  6. The difference is the fretboard: mine is made of ebony and not wengé, like all fretted F1's. Would it make a great difference in sound? Would it sound alot harsher?
