i realy love my new warwick corvette standard (passive), but where i play mostly, i get a nasty hum. in other locations its not noticable. any sugestions would be most helpful

  2. Are there flourescent lights where you play? It could be a 60 cycle hum. That would be my guess.

    Best suggestion: Shielding.

the control cavity and cover plate has shielding paint and the electronics all look clean, nice job i might say. don't know about the pickup cavitys though. i'm going to make a kill switch-stompbox to cut the signal in between songs. maybe that will do the job.

There's no shielding in the p-up cavities.

It is also possible that the amp is humming because of a bad ground.
