Warwick Infinity 4

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by ConeyIslandJoe, Nov 26, 2001.

  1. I'm interested in a Semi Hollow Body Bass. Has anyone played the Warwick Infinity 4? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've got the 5'er model, & she's my main fretted bass now. Excellent instrument. Extremely responsive, and quite versatile for a Warwick. The electronics are really nice, & you do get a little acoustic interplay from the top; not much, but at high volumes I can feel the resonance, it feels good!
The neck is chunky tho, very round. She's a big un!
It balances better than the Thumb, and the stretch out towards the nut isn't as bad, but it might be a little hostile toward shorter arms.
There's a bit of maintenance involved with the oil finish, but it's worth it in my opinion...
I really love this model, it's a phenomenal bass. They tend to be pricey, but it can do anything I've always wanted a fretted bass to do.
Email me if you have any other specific questions...

i'm not a big warwick fan, but if i had the money i'd get one of these. They are by FAR the coolest warwicks ive played. I A/B'd it with the streamer stage 2 and i thought the infinity blew it away, thats just MHO. its nice and light and fairly balanced for a warwick. That birdseye top is hard to beat too.

Heh, it's the bass that's cured me of GAS (well, fretted GAS, anyway...).
    For now.

I guess I forgot about this, since I haven't updated my sad little page for a while, but if you want to hear a rough demo track with the Infinity 5, the 1st mp3 on my website was recorded with it....
