    Hi all,

    I'm trying to connect a new preamp into one of my Warwick rockbass guitars and was wondering which wires a need to solder where.

    I have a black ground wire from the body of the bass a green ground wire from the preamp and an orange wire output to Jack socket.

    The jack socket has three *prongs?* one long medium and short. Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

    tip = signal from preamp

    ring = to battery (-) terminal

    sleeve = ground

    Switchcraft makes a barrel TRS jack without the strain relief which you don't need inside a control cavity.
