warwick maintance?

Discussion in 'Hardware, Setup & Repair [BG]' started by ImaStupidBaby, Apr 25, 2006.

  1. I have a 1998 streamer std with a natural finish...its kind of dark though, so i think its been stained.

i've heard that you need to oil or wax the neck to keep the fretboard from detaching from the neck? is this true? what kind of oil should I use?

I've looked around, and can't seem to find any information on this bass....

Well, Warwick reccomends that you wax the bass weekly with their wax. However, I think it's a bit extreme to say your fingerboard will seperate if you don't use it (it is a possibility that it could happen).

However, it stinks and it's hella sticky.

ive never heard of that problem before. if you go to the warwick website, you can get the manual for all of their basses online, which has all of the care and maintenance info.
