Warwick Neck what to do for a Body?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by SonOfLiberty, Jul 27, 2012.

  1. I just picked up a Thumb BO 6 broadneck on Fleabay for cheap. I have no idea why I got it. I saw it, said "this would make a cool project", made an offer. So what body should I get to make a cool Franken Bass?

    Make your own!
  3. If I had the skills to build one I would. I'm more looking for a body I could modify with the meager skill set I have.

You won't find a Dolphin Pro I body. They are neckthroughs. The discontinued Dolphin SN are set necks. These are all 4 or 5 strings. There are no 6-string dolphins except one recently custom made one.
Old japanese-made Dolphin Pro 2 are 4-string only.

I'd have a luthier make a body, one with deep set-in and longer upper horn than a Thumb. Then you'll have ergonomics too :)

I have a Streamer that has been so modified that I'm considering getting a new body to match the neck. I will be monitoring this thread closely.
